Question: What is an e-PIN?

Answer: The e-PIN stands for Electronic Personal Identification Number. In WAECDIRECT, it is a unique 10-digit or 12-digit number that is required to access a candidate’s results. The e-PIN enables direct access to a candidate’s results via multiple channels. The e-PIN is found in a valid WAEC Voucher.

Question: Where can I buy an e-PIN?

Answer: You can purchased an e-PIN at the National WAEC office and at any of its Zonal and Branch Offices nationwide. It may also be available at any other outlets so designated by WAEC.

Question: How much is the e-PIN?

Answer: The fixed price for the e-PIN is now N1,500.

Question: Can I use one e-PIN to check more than one result?

Answer: No! You are only allow to use one e-PIN Voucher to check one result. If you want to check another result of interest, you will require a new e-PIN Voucher. And if you misuse your e-PIN Voucher by attempting to check another result different from the first one you checked, you will be penalised and will be presented with the appropriate error message.

Question: How many times can I check my WAEC results?

Answer: You are only allow to check your WAEC result up to a maximum of 5 times with the use of one e-PIN Voucher. You will need to purchase another e-PIN after exhausting the allowed 5 times which will entitle you to another five result checks.

Question: In what other ways can I check my result without the use of an e-PIN?

Answer: The use of an e-PIN is the only means through which WAEC candidates can access their results.

Question: I visited the official WAEC result checker portal and filled in the required details only to see a page telling me there is no result for the candidate in the specified year. Please what do I do?

Answer: We advise you to keep checking at intervals because the portal may be updated subsequently. Alternatively, you may visit the nearest WAEC office for assistance.

Question: I have been trying to check my result via the WAEC result portal but the page is not loading?

Answer: It is either your internet connection is not connecting properly or as a result of the high traffic to the WAEC result checking portal. We advise you to wait patiently before trying again. If possible, check the portal from 11PM to 4AM. Traffic is usually low during those hours.

Answer: A result checker e-PIN Voucher purchased in a previous year is still valid for use in the next year but you can only use one e-PIN Voucher to check one result. To check another (different) result, you will require a new e-PIN Voucher.

Answer: Kindly note that results that are outstanding can be traced to various issues. You advise you to keep checking the portal for updates on outstanding results.

Answer: Please be informed that examination numbers are reused every year and the only unique difference is the examination year. So change the examination year to the year you took your exam. To do that, you will have to purchase a new WAEC result checker e-PIN Voucher.
